Exit Assistance Intensives

Exit Assistance Intensives

Vicarious trauma can be one of the biggest struggles an individual or a family faces when transitioning from working in the field back to their country of origin.  Many organizations offer transition care to their staff members, but vicarious trauma can make it difficult to make the best use of those services.

Treating vicarious trauma before an individual or family leaves their field-work site, will enhance their ability to utilize any transition care provided by their organization as well as making their transition home smoother.

An Exit Assistance Intensive is not designed to replace existing transition care, rather to enhance these services provided by an organization.

Pre-departure (from country of service) half day Exit Assistance Intensives

  • A four-hour individual session focused on treating the effects of working in a fragile context. This can be conducted virtually or in person.
  • More than one Intensive can be scheduled, depending on the needs of the individual/family.
